So I’m working with protein breakdown products called peptides. So when you digest the protein its broken down into peptides which are categorised based on the number of amino acids making them up. I work with tripeptides (which contain 3 amino acids). So they are fairly simple which is awesome. And they are able to lower blood pressure in animals with high blood pressure. They don’t lower blood pressure if you’ve normal healthy blood pressure which is great cause we don’t want people fainting!
