Im a serious night owl… It’s 00:30 and I’m here. I work with/have lots of friends in the states so that coincides well with my night owl tendency. I struggle being in the lab for 9, but could gladly stay there well past closing. I also can’t write before 11pm. People also comment on emails I send like at 3am! 🙂

I quite like working in the evenings when its nice and quiet – but not in the lab, the lab gets spooky at night! Plus they tell me there is a ‘spirit’ in one of the outhouses at our centre, which is built in the grounds of an old manor house, so I’m not prepared to take too many chances of encountering her…

I’m more of a morning person. I do hit a slump around 3 or 4 so I usually take a break around then.

I also enjoy working in the lab in the evening time when there’s nobody around. I can turn up the radio and I don’t have to inflict my singing on anyone 🙂

Im a total night owl as well. At the moment, we have a lot of early morning participants coming in for blood tests, and I find it really hard to get out of bed some mornings when it is still dark! When I was writing my PhD thesis up, I used to stay at work really late and my best writing was in the evenings. We’re really lucky to work in Universities in that the hours we work can be really flexible.
