Question: What made you come up with this idea.

Thankfully I didn’t! I remember in school and college panicking thinking “what if I can’t come up with a good idea for research”. Fear not, you don’t! Someone with way more experience does. My bosses came up with the idea then got money from the Dept of Ag Food and Marine then hired me. So they have a question “can we use these components effectively to reduce blood pressure” and then I go in and try to answer this. It’s expected that you start writing your own ideas for money if you continue on in research and eventually you get to be the boss hiring your own students
