• Question: which food/foods help or growth and devolopment most?

      There’s not one particular food. You’ll see a lot of intensive endurance athletes will consume a really high protein high carbohydrate diet. That’s because 1) they need lots of energy as they are working out a lot, 2) they need lots of protein as all that working out is damaging and building new muscle so they need protein to repair and build up new muscle.

      But as a child growing up you need protein, carbohydrates and you need some fat (and the good fats in particular). You also need minerals like Calcium to build strong bones. But we need other things too like vitamins to help keep our bodies functioning. So it’s not a one size fits all solution.

      Protein is probably the most important for growth and development but we need all the nutrients mentioned above by John too. They are all essential!
