      Hi impendingdoom,

I would love to live in a cave home, much like the cave hotels in Cappadocia in Turkey. I think they are so unusual! I think the countryside would be best suited for this type of house, and if I could find an area with a mountain and some cherry blossom trees near by I would love it! I would have to look in Japan as they have wonderful cherry blossom blooms!

I would love to live in California somewhere near San Fran maybe or down near Santa Barbara with access to Laguna Seca. I’d probably end up in an apartment but ideally would love a nice detached house with big garage and some land. Would most definitely be driving a Camaro!

On the Mediterranean coast! It’s gorgeous and sunny. It’s where I come from and by chance it is also a great place for my research on groundwater (how the water flows in the rocks in this kind of environment, how climate change is going to impact water…).

Wow, that’s a super difficult question! Having lived in Ireland my entire life I would love to experience living in a country that has sunny weather! Although I am terrified of spiders I’d really like to experience living in Australia- it looks so beautiful there and the local language is English so adjusting wouldn’t be overly complicated. I wouldn’t say no to a pretty house to live in if there was one available (maybe even with a pool in the garden, that’s common in Australia, right?!) What/where is your dream place to live?

I’d love to live where you can see the Northern (or Southern!) lights regularly, so maybe Iceland. A nice wood cabin with a stove would do just fine!

I want to live in the countryside! Surrounded by green and freedom! I want to live in a lovely little house that has a porch that I can have a swinging chair on so that I can sit in it every morning and drink my coffee!

Hard one! I lived in New Zealand for almost a year and would go back and live there any day except for one thing…it’s very far from my family. So for now Ireland is a good substitute 🙂 If I could choose anywhere it would probably be the south-west coast in Co. Kerry and I would love to build my own house from sustainable materials 🙂

You know what I think I could also live in a barge in Holland…I change my mind all the time.

I would like to live in Greece. I spent 6 years there during my bachelor studies. I really liked the cities (I lived in Thessaloniki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thessaloniki ) which is very close to some beautiful beaches. The weather is very nice, the food is also great, the architecture and culture is also worth it 🙂 The Aristotle University, where I studied, is a good university…

Well, overall, I would be very happy if I can go living there again 🙂

I’d love to live by the sea on a house with a big glass front so I could look onto the waves.

Oooh interesting question! I actually think I wouldn’t like to change where I live, I love living in Ireland: I like the weather (even the rain) and how green it is and the people and the beautiful scenery, and most of all I like living close to my family and friends. I would love to move out to live on the coast though, I love the beach and it would be a dream to live close enough that I could go every day.

I would love to live back home in Colombia one day! I think to be close to my family is one of the main reasons I would love to go back. I also miss the weather and dancing! Regarding what I would live in, I think I would prefer a house with a big garden. I have lived my whole life in apartments and after seeing all the houses in Ireland I would definitely hope to live in one!

I would love to live in a house in between a city and the mountains, with access to both, that would be ideal.

It certainly is not Ireland 🙂
I had two conference trips to Lord Howe Island, which lies between Sydney and New Zealand and it is quite the most amazing place I have ever been. If I could work from home there, I think I’d be happy.
Otherwise, having lived in Germany, I would be happy to spend my days wandering around Berlin and Leipzig.

Definitely Canada. I got to travel over to the Canadian Rockies in 2018 (as part of my work :D), and I saw some of the most spectacular scenes I could have imagined. There’s a picture on my profile of Lake Louise, which is near a place called Banff over there, and even in real life the lake (which is a glacial lake, and that’s what gives it its intense blue color) looks fake. I think living in a cabin somewhere there would be great. Somewhere peaceful and beautiful.
