Funny, that nobody really!
My brother failed his degree twice, but is doing OK
I have a cousin who works for Eigrid (they manage the electricity grid), looking at getting ocean/wave power onto the mainstream electricity grid.
Hey,
Yes, I’m the youngest and always said that I wouldn’t follow what any of my siblings did but it kind of happened anyway! My eldest sister also studied science but she specialised in genetics rather than zoology. She also did her PhD at Trinity and now she’s working as a postdoctoral researcher in Teagasc. She’s studying the genetics of cows and trying to figure out what makes some bulls more fertile than others. So we’re both scientists studying animals but she works on the micro, DNA scale whereas I’m more interested in the macro-evolutionary side of things.
Sive
Hi there, No not really. One sister is a nurse so thats sort of like biology I guess, but we’re all very different. They all show an interest though and a concern for my mice!
No, I was the first person in my family to go to university… let alone do a Ph.D. — in fact, a lot of my family don’t know what a Ph.D. is…sometimes I feel the same(!)…
