• Question: Do you like working with animals?

      Hi John,
      I do like working with animals but it doesn’t happen very often. Zoology is really varied and only some parts of it involve working with animals. Most of my research is either desk-based or else involves working with skeletal collections at natural history museums. People doing animal behaviour or conservation and wildlife projects get to work with animals more. Of course you can also train to become a zookeeper!
