Hey,
I haven’t been to many concerts because I usually prefer going to musicals or dance shows. I have seen some famous people in various shows though including Michael Crawford (the original Phantom of the Opera), Kevin Spacey and Ewan McGregor in the muscial Guys and Dolls.
I really want to see Michael Buble in concert though. I missed it the last time he was here so it’s become my mission!
Sive
I guess you mean like going to the O2 or similar?
I have seen Bon Jovi, Thin Lizzy, The Frames, Josh Ritter, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple all in Dublin and Cork.
Got to meet most of them, except Bon Jovi and Purple, but the rest were grrreat
Hoho yes! I have been to a lot of concerts as I am a bit of a Music nerd too … I’ve been to all sorts jazz, pop, metal but my favorite is blues rock (if you like this kind of music Ive seen Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks, Warren Hayes and Govt Mule in the last two years). Some of the best I went to were the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (3 times), REM, Smasing pumpkins and Imedla May is great live too. Last gig I went to was to see was RumHoney in London, last weekend!
Music is good for the mind! recently on holiday I saw this qoute ““Music does not influence research work, but both are nourished by the same sort of longing, and they complement each other in the release they offer.”” by Albert Einstein.
Your Da is probably not that far away from my age, so that would make sense. I met IM in 1993, seems eons ago now.
I dont really know any of this new stuff – what would you recommend to an aging rocker?
