      Hey,

Pure water is made of H2O molecules, so two hydrogen atoms bonding with one oxygen atom. However, water in the environment or the water that we drink contains lots of other molecules as well such as dissolved minerals from the rocks that it flows over, pollutants and chemicals which are added to make water safe for us to drink.
