      Hi Lewis,

      The moon is grey in reality. You can see it, because the light from the sun reflects off the moon’s surface and into your eyes. The bright white colour arises since the moon is so close to us and the white is the reflected colour of the sunlight.

      One has to always be careful when thinking about optical phenomena.
