• Question: Why you think you should get my vote

      Hey Mark! Because I want to use the money to see if I can visit schools to talk about Neuroscience (the study of the brain!). Because we all have a brain (despite how some of us carry on…) and its important to know how to take care of it!

      Hi Mark,

      Because many people are not aware of the impending doom that is being brought about by the squeeze on fuel reserves and climate change and what our options are into the future.
      I want to visit schools, such as your own, to inform the scientists of tomorrow what is happening today and what we need to do, so you can make the difference in ensuring we do not doom our civilisation.

    hi i know you probaly get all the same questions but if we did not have science would we die or would we stil be living like the romans or what would happen?

    Hi Ladybird, I think science is really part of Human nature and goes along with our history. What makes us a relatively successful species is that although we are not strong …or fast… or even particularly well adapted to our environment, we survive because we use our intelligence to find solutions to problems. The Romans also did this. Even when you decide to try a new brand of chocolate for the first time, you are being a scientist!, you will explore your options, test out the new bar and compare it to others so that you make the best choice next time! Science is everywhere as it is a process, not just as a job.
