I don’t think college is hard. This is because I picked something I really enjoyed learning about, so even though I had to work hard, it didn’t feel hard because I enjoyed it. Everyone starts college the same, so you won’t be alone. If things ever get hard, I promise that other people in your course will be the same. The key is to pick something you like spending time reading about or watching Youtube/TikToks on and it will be much easier. So don’t worry! 🙂
Its a lot like in school really when what you’re learning now seems very hard, but you remember thinking that about things you learned 2 or 3 years ago, which probably seem quite easy now!
I remember having big problems learning my 6 and 7 times tables, but now I use maths in my job that wasn’t even invented when I was in school!
It’s just like school, but more of no “spoon feeding” type of teaching. You need to initiate sometimes, ask, find resources and lots of project ..
But to be fair, I studied different specialities and in different countries and I would say the most difficult one was my undergraduate degree in Saudi Arabia, as our exams were cumulative (yearly) and the last year, we were examined on everything we studied since started taking the course. For example I started studying Course A in the second year, then in the last year they may ask about any thing I studied since then! Some course we just started in the third year, and no new courses was new in the fourth year except research which required a thesis and thesis examination (defence).
