So my favourite thing about being a doctor is definitely adrenaline-filled emergency situations. They can be tricky, and not every emergency you are involved in works out the way you would like it to, but definitely the bit I enjoy the most.
My favourite part of my research job is having more free time to do my own things like, work on particular projects or just having a bit more free time to spend with my family.
My work as a computer scientist is all from my laptop so I can work anywhere in the world! It’s very flexible which makes it easy to keep up hobbies and family commitments.
My favourite thing about my job is getting to listen to the sound that the brain makes as it is working. It’s very tricky to get everything working and get my equipment in just the right place so that I can hear the sound of individual brain cells sending information around the brain. So when I hear the tell-tale sounds, I know I’ve done a good job 🙂
I am a computational chemist. That means I do chemistry on a computer, instead of mixing chemicals in a lab. That makes it much more friendlier to the environment and even faster at times. My favourite part about that is that I get to study virtual experiments and develop drugs all from the comfort of my laptop and from anywhere in the world.
