        I look at nanoparticles which are tiny tiny tiny particles that can act like proteins in our body. These nanoparticles can be made of gold, silver, cadmium, tellurium polystyrene…you name it the list goes on and they come in all shapes and sizes so as you can imagine its a lot of work to study them all!! 😛

        Hey 432newg52 ,

        I work with a lot of materials including stuff like carbon nanotubes and nanoparticles but I mainly focus on materials known as 2D-materials.
        These are materials only a couple of atoms thick, a good analogy is they are like an A4 piece of paper, much wider and longer than they are thick. We make them out of a huge variety of different elements in furnaces at high temperatures.
        They all have their own interesting properties and features that make them cool to look at for a bunch of different applications.
