Great question.. this is mainly to do with all the other things that are added to chocolate such as the sugars. The cacao is actually very healthy for you but this is very bitter and so a lot of sugars are added so people enjoy the taste. Dark chocolate is good for your heart as it contains less of the added sugars so eat this if you want some chocolate.. but a little milk or white chocolate every now and then is okay too! 🙂
Ciara has replied real good. The main problem is not the cocoa bran but when we transform this cocoa bran to chocolate sugar is added so it stops being healthy. This happens with many foods if we process them they stop being healthy. A good example are fruit juices. The fruit is very healthy but if we take out the juice and add sugar they stop being healthy
