• Question: How does a seed turn into a crop when it is in soil?

      A seed turns into a small plant first by what we call “germination”. This is something you can try at home: in a plastic empty food container, put at the bottom a layer of cotton wool and some lentils/beans on the cotton wool. Keep the cotton wool wet for few days in a warm room…You will see in few days how the seeds will turn into plants!

      It is their way of growing. They get their food from the soil, the sun and the water and they turn into plants/crops. The experiment that Yannis has proposed is very interesting
