Fibre is found in the foods that we each such as plant based food.. it is part of what makes up these plants and is found in fruit, vegetables, grains and legumes. There are two types of fibre soluble and insoluble fibre and is important that we take in both. Soluble fibre can be found in foods such as apples and has been found to help reduce cholesterol while insoluble fibre is not digested by us. It helps the movement of food through our gut and also is eaten by the microbes in our large intestines to produce things called short chain fatty acids which are very beneficial for us.

Fibre is already present in the foods, it is not made. Plant foods have fibre.
