      Each lab has a lab manager that is in charge of the lab. That person takes care that everything is clean, tidy and organises the people who want to work in it.

      In my lab our principal investigator is in charge of everyone in the lab.. hiring new people when new projects begin, coming up with new ideas for projects and applying for grants and generally guiding us all through our projects. In the general running of the lab we all pitch in weekly to keep it clean and organised.

      Yes we have a lab manager who makes sure we all work safely and that everything works well in the lab and we have a supervisor for our research called a principle investigator (or PI) who runs the projects we work on.

      Yes, we have a lovely lab manager called Eimear who solves all our science problems!
