• Question: some babies are allergic to milk but milk gives them lots of calcium if u are allergic to milk what would u give them that would contain lots of calcium

      You give them what is called infant formula. There are many different types of these “formulas” and some of them have the same nutrients as milk (like calcium) but without the allergic part. They are a powder that you mix with water and then it becomes something similar to milk.

      if a baby is allergic to milk, there are lactose free milk powders that can be used. They should be fine! Alternatively, excellent sources of Ca are cheeses and yoghurts. In fact, they are BETTER than milk, they are more easy to digest and more …tasty!

      That depends on what age the baby is I guess… As the other scientists here have said you can get baby formulas with the part of the milk that causes the allergy removed. If the baby is a little older and eating solid foods there are a lot of foods which have calcium added which would be really good sources such as breakfast cereals which have calcium added. Green vegetables like spinach are also high in Calcium.
