0 Question: Why are Americans eggs white and Irish eggs brown Keywords: american, eggs, irish Asked by Em12 to Ciara, Elaine, Golnaz, Gonzalo, Yannis, Yvonne on 10 Nov 2017.
Ciara O'Donovan answered on 10 Nov 2017:
This is due to the different chicken breeds used in Ireland in comparison to the US.. the different chickens just lay different coloured eggs.
Gonzalo Delgado-Pando answered on 10 Nov 2017:
It is not an American or Irish thing. It is the chicken breed as Ciara has said. There are both white and bronw eggs in Europe, although brown are more common
Ioannis Zabetakis answered on 10 Nov 2017:
it is not only the breed but also the feeds that are used. The feeds can affect the colour of the eggs.
