You should ask the people who do that. People who go on a diet they do because they don’t like their body and they see themselves as fat. Some other people eat lots of bad food because sometimes they don’t know they are eating bad foods and sometimes they don’t realise they are eating so many nasty food.
There are a lot of reasons people go on diets but they do not work long term if someone needs or wants to loose weight. Most diets (such as ones which you just eat soup) are not possible to maintain long term and when people come off them they will be worse off than they were before. It is better to just try and be healthy and eat everything in moderation and that is the healthiest. 🙂 In terms of eating lots of bad food a lot of people don’t know how bad it is for them or just don’t think it is important to worry about that sort of thing.
