• Question: Why is carrots sweet when it is not boiled

      carrots have sugars, when we boil them, the sugars dissolve into the water and the carrots loose their sweetness…

      I wouldn´t say they are not sweet when they are boiled, they are less sweet because they loose the sugars into the water when boiled, but not all of them. If you try the water where you have boiled the carrots you will see that it is sweet

      When we boil carrots the sugars which are making them sweet seep into the water. If we cook carrots in other ways such as roasting or steaming them we can keep in more of this sweetness 🙂
