      It’s not my discovery, but I read a study when I started my work here. It sounds pretty crazy to me: you can still say who had a knee injury (specifically anterior cruciate ligament or ACL injury) and who didn’t just by the way they’re walking downstairs 20(!) years after the injury. And that’s despite all the treatment, surgery and physio.

      In geology you can get away without actually looking at real rocks! A lot of people I work with are trained in geology actual spend no time outside, but do pure computer work. I do a bit of field work, but not as much as you might think!

      Hi Nika,

      I think that many theories that I was reading about were truly mind-blowing. Also, a work of one of my friends on rats: pups are vocalizing their needs, but also that rats in general are communicating between themselves was pretty crazy for me. They are producing sounds on a wavelength not noticeable for the human ear, and they are “talking” to each others. It was shocking for me, that this way they are able to create a hierarchy in their cage etc. Or another study on rats, which showed, that if parents were conditioned to be afraid of some stimulus (it was very complicated, I’m just trying to make it simple now), their offspring, even if they were never exposure to this particular stimuli, during the first meeting with the stimuli, their level of stress hormones will increase. Science is fantastic!
